Adrian Godboldt is a PhD student in Anthropology, with a focus on culture, at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research examines the materiality of digital infrastructure, where his current fieldwork in Phoenix, Arizona, explores how the expansion of semiconductor manufacturing reshapes local communities, labor, and resource usage in the city. More broadly, his work contributes to mapping the global networks that sustain digital industries while situating their social and ecological impacts within local contexts.
